The “Alghero Walk&Wine” is a cultural+gastronomic+wine tour combining the visit of the old town of Alghero with a local wine tasting experience. We meet in front of the Hotel Catalunya and head right to the real starting point of our tour route, that is at the entrance of the old walled city, specifically to Porta Terra, from where we will begin our cultural guided tour along the way of the ancient Aragonese towers and defensive walls, then forward inside the old town across old buildings, churches, squares and landmarks.
You will be told about the history of Alghero, founded by Genoises, but colonized by Catalans for almost 4 centuries, and about its peculiarities which makes this place unique in Sardinia. Our guided tour lasts about 2 hours and at the end of it you will be walked to “La Cantina” where qualified personnel will look after you for a guided wine tasting of 3 different local wines + Sardinian aperitifs cheese + cold cuts
